Google User Data Usage

Sheet to JSON requests access to the following Google user data:

• Email address (via Google Sign-In): Used solely to verify your purchase/license status. Your email is checked against our database of paid users to determine whether you have access to premium features.
• Current spreadsheet data (read-only access to the active spreadsheet): Used exclusively to convert your spreadsheet data to JSON format. This data is processed entirely within your browser and Google's servers—it is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

We do not use Google user data for any purpose other than providing the core functionality of the add-on as described above. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any secondary purposes.

Spreadsheet Data

Your spreadsheet data is processed entirely within your browser and Google's servers. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your spreadsheet content. All JSON conversion happens locally within the Google Sheets environment.

Data Protection

We implement the following security measures to protect your data:

• Email addresses are stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, a globally distributed key-value store with encryption at rest
• All data transmission between the add-on and our verification server uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• We store only the minimum data necessary (email address and purchase timestamp) for license verification
• Spreadsheet data never leaves Google's infrastructure—all JSON conversion is performed client-side
• We do not log or retain any spreadsheet content

Data Retention and Deletion

Regarding the retention and deletion of your Google user data:

• Email addresses: Retained indefinitely while you hold an active license, to enable ongoing license verification. You may request deletion at any time.
• Spreadsheet data: Never stored. Processed in real-time within your browser session only.

To request deletion of your data, contact us at hey@kiranjohns.com. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your email address from our database within 30 days. Note that deleting your data will revoke your license and access to premium features.

Third-Party Services

We use Polar (polar.sh) to process payments. When you make a purchase, Polar collects payment information according to their privacy policy. We only receive your email address from Polar to activate your license.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to process payments. Your Google user data is never shared with third parties for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.
