The site is operated by Kiran Johns as a personal brand and publishing surface for writing, projects, and consulting information. Contact for privacy questions:hey@kiranjohns.com. Postal or physical address is not published on this site; email is the designated channel for data requests.

Browsing the public pages does not require an account. Standard server and CDN logs (Cloudflare) may include IP address, user agent, referrer, and requested URL for security and reliability. Umami analytics runs on pages to measure aggregate traffic; it is configured for privacy-conscious, cookieless-style site analytics rather than ad profiling. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store the email address you submit so we can send posts and occasional dispatches. Booking via Cal.com is handled by Cal.com under their own terms and privacy policy; this site only links to that service.

Log and analytics data are used to keep the site up, understand which writing is useful, and detect abuse. Newsletter emails are used only to deliver the list you joined and related site updates, not sold to third parties. Contact emails you send to hey@kiranjohns.com are read to respond to your message and are not added to the newsletter unless you ask.

Hosting and edge delivery use Cloudflare. Analytics use Umami. Newsletter delivery uses Audienceful, connected to the subscribe API on this site. Scheduling uses Cal.com. Social links go to X, LinkedIn, GitHub, and Instagram when you choose to leave this site. Each of those services applies its own privacy policy once you interact with them.

To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any email or write to hey@kiranjohns.com. To request deletion of a newsletter address or clarification of what we hold about a message you sent, email hey@kiranjohns.com with the address or enough detail to locate the record. We will respond within a reasonable time. This personal site does not run advertising trackers for cross-site ad targeting.
